Mindfulness in Motion: The Benefits of "Knocking on Heaven’s Door

Writer's picture: Cassie DaltonCassie Dalton

"Knocking on Heaven’s Door" is a simple yet powerful Qigong practice that involves gently tapping or knocking on the body to stimulate energy flow, awaken the senses, and release stagnant energy. This technique helps activate the body's meridians, improve circulation, and promote relaxation by encouraging a smooth flow of Qi (life force energy).

This practice not only stimulates circulation and relieves tension, but it also energizes the chakras, especially the solar plexus chakra—our center of personal power, confidence, and vitality. By tapping around the core, we activate this energy center, helping to clear blockages and restore balance.

When we awaken the solar plexus, we connect more deeply with our inner strength—our powerhouse—allowing us to move through life with greater clarity, resilience, and purpose. This makes Knocking on Heaven’s Door a powerful tool for both physical and energetic alignment.
